NBA Draft 2011: Seventh Overall Pick Bismack Biyombo

Bismack Biyombo was chosen as the 7th overall pick by the Sacremento Kings (later traded to the Charlotte Bobcats).

The 18-year-old from the Democratic Republic of Congo made a name for himself at the 2011 Nike Hoop Summit where he made history as the first player in history of the tournament to have a triple double. Since that stellar performance, his name rose rapidly within NBA management circles. Congratulations to Biyombo and best of luck in your NBA travels. Hopefully you will go down in history as other great Africans who played in the NBA like Hakeem Olajuwon and Dikembe Mutombo.
